Jouw mening gevraagd / what’s your advice?
Zoals jullie waarschijnlijk al gemerkt hebben, ben ik de laatste tijd weinig actief op scrapgebied. Ik heb het heel druk want het grootste deel van mijn vrije tijd gaat momenteel naar mijn avondopleiding fotografie. Het einde van het semester komt in zicht dus ook het indienen van onze opdrachten. Foto’s nemen is dus mijn prioriteit maar vanaf de grote vakantie vlieg ik terug helemaal in het scrappen!
As you probably noticed, I’m not creating a lot of scrapbook layouts lately. I’m spending a lot of my free time with taking pictures for my evening classes of photography. The end of the semester is near, so my assignments need to be finished. So this is my priority right now and explains my lack of posts.
Voor 1 opdracht moeten we rond een kleur werken en foto’s nemen die de kleur bevatten maar ook foto’s nemen die de kleur niet bevatten maar wel een eigenschap van de kleur uitstralen. Mijn kleur is roze en een eigenschap van roze is bijvoorbeeld lief, schattig, zacht. Daarvoor heb ik een kittentje gefotografeerd, want kleine katjes zijn toch ontzettend schattig? Nu heb ik nog 2 foto’s over waar ik heel moeilijk een keuze kan uitmaken. Welke foto van de volgende 2 straalt het meest schattigheid uit? Geef je je mening via een comment? Dank je wel!
For 1 assignment we need to take pictures of a colour. Some pictures actually need to show the colour within the pictures, while other pictures must show a characteristic of that particular colour without showing the colour in the picture. The colour I chose is pink and some characteristics of pink are lovely, sweet, cute… So for this, I took pictures of a kitten, isn’t that very lovely? I still need to select between to pictures. Can you tell me which picture is the cutest? Please leave your choice in a comment! Thanks!

Wat een leuke verrassing…/What a nice surprise…
Wat een leuke verrassing toen ik deze avond terug thuis kwam van het werk! Mijn prijs van Dutch Dares van challenge#49 zat in de brievenbus!!!

Dutch Dares Schets#50
Had ik jullie al laten weten dat ik de RAK gewonnen heb van de maand maart met de inzending van mijn scrapbook layout op basis van de Dutch Dares schets#49? Eenmaal ik de prijs ontvangen heb, plaats ik er zeker een fotootje van op mijn blog! De nieuwe schets van Dutch Dares sprak me ook wel aan en dus ben ik er ook mee aan de slag gegaan. Dit is het resultaat:

Distress inks: seasonal spring set
En ja hoor, Tim Holtz en Ranger beginnen een nieuw seizoen met nieuwe distress kleurtjes. Voor de lente is er een nieuwe tint lila, geel en turquoois. Ik ben niet van allemaal fan moet ik eerlijk toegeven en ik vind deze set de minste van zijn seasonal sets. In België kun je de kleurtjes alvast bestellen bij Creanijn. In onderstaand filmpje zie je een demonstratie van de nieuwe kleurtjes. Naast de nieuwe kleurtjes, zijn er ook re-inkers uitgebracht voor alle seasonal set distress kleuren, dus ook die van de herfst en winter.
A new season, a new seasonal distress ink set announced by Tim Holtz and Ranger. Another three new colours: shades of lilac, yellow and teal. I have to admit that this is not my favourite seasonal set. In the movie below you can see Tim Holtz demonstrating the new colours. And next to this new seasonal set, reinkers of all seasonal colours have been released.

Dutch Dares Schets#49
Toen ik de schets van Dutch Dares zag, ben ik onmiddellijk naar mijn scrapkamer getrokken en begonnen aan de layout. Hier is mijn invulling van de schets:

Voor deze layout heb ik enkel maar oud papier gebruikt (alles van Scenic Route), oud lint en knopen die ik al jaren had liggen. Ik probeer wat mijn voorraad scrapmateriaal weg te werken en niet teveel nieuws aan te schaffen.
I only used things I already have for many years: the paper, the ribbon, the buttons,…I am trying to use my old scrap supplies and to resist buying new things.

Creanijn albumtrack: part 3
Ondertussen heb ik nog 2 layouts afgewerkt van de Creanijn albumtrack.
De eerste layout bevat foto’s van Nieuw-Zeeland. Dit was een superreis! Nieuw-Zeeland heeft echt ons hart gestolen en is wat ons betreft de mooiste plaats op aarde!
De 2de layout bevat foto’s van onze trip naar Canada. Ook hier kun je een prachtige natuur bewonderen!
In the mean time, I finished 2 other scrapbook layouts I started at the Creanijn Albumtrack.
The first layout shows pictures of our trip to New Zealand. This trip was really fantastic! In my opinion it is the most beautiful spot on earth.
On the second layout, you can see pictures of our journey to Canada. We can also recommended this destination to people who love nature!

Creanijn Albumtrack: part 2
Ik kan jullie nog een scrapbook layout tonen die ik afgewerkt heb na de albumtrack georganiseerd door Vicky/Creanijn.
In 2002 maakten we voor het eerst een verre reis volgens de formule ‘Fly&Drive’. Bij aankomst op je bestemming haal je een huurwagen op en gedurende je vakantie rij je zelf van de ene plaats naar de andere. Dit soort reizen doen we nu nog steeds. Zalig die vrijheid!
I finished another scrapbook layout of the Creanijn Albumtrack. In 2002 we made are first trip outside Europe using the formule ‘Fly&Drive’. When you arrive at your destination, you pick up a rental car and drive by yourself from one place to the another. We like this kind of travel. It offers a lot of freedom and you see more of the country and people.

Creanijn Albumtrack: part 1
Op 17 maart 2012 reed ik samen met een vriendin richting Oostkamp naar de albumtrack georganiseerd door Creanijn/Vicky. Op een albumtrack is het de bedoeling om aan de hand van de schetsen (uitgewerkt door Vicky) scrapbook layouts te maken. Nadat je de schetsen gekregen hebt, kies je zelf papier waar je mee aan de slag gaat en op het einde van de dag kan je klaar zijn met het maken van een volledig album. Ideaal dus om een reeks foto’s snel weg te werken. Mijn album is nog niet volledig afgewerkt maar ik kan je alvast enkele layoutjes tonen. Aangezien ik nog veel foto’s over heb van mijn reizen (ik bestel er altijd te veel!) was mijn idee voor de albumtrack een album dat een overzicht toont van de reizen die ik al samen met mijn man gemaakt heb. Per reis een dubbele scrapbooklayout. Het verkleint alvast weer wat de stapel!
On Saturday March 17th 2012, I attended the Creanijn albumtrack together with a friend. Vicky (Creanijn) creates several sketches you can use to make scrapbook layouts. At the end of the day you have a whole album so such an albumtrack is really nice if you want to scrap quickly! I didn’t succeed to finish mine but I can already show you some layouts. Because I always order to many pictures of our journeys, I usually have a lot of pictures left. My idea for the albumtrack was to create an album which gives an overview of the trips my husband and I have made throughout the years. One trip is good for one double scrapbook layout.

Onze eerste reis samen was in 2000 en de bestemming was Salou in Spanje. Een strandvakantie na het afstuderen.
Our first trip was in the year 2000 to Salou in Spain. A vacation at the beach after our last year at the university.

In 2001 gingen we naar Bulgarije. Wederom een strandvakantie maar meteen ook de laatste. Na deze reis kregen we de smaak te pakken voor een ander soort reizen.
In 2001 we visited Bulgaria. Again this was a vacation near the beach. However, this would be the last vacation of this kind. We don’t like this kind of travel anymore.
